Blake Julian, a 28-year-old dentist, from South Carolina, was eliminated from Bachelor Pad 2 Episode 5. Melissa Schreiber, a 32-year-old waitress, from Florida, was eliminated from Bachelor Pad 2 Episode 4. “Melissa: Blake and I would go one-on-one off by ourselves all the time and talk and people didn’t see it. There was a lot more emotion because there was a lot more said to me that unfortunately viewers didn’t get to hear and see. There was a lot more kissing, there was a lot more hugging, there was a lot more emotional stuff going on that no one knows about except Blake.

William: Dry humping. (Laughs)

Melissa: (Laughs) I think, he puts it, he says “jean jammin,” actually.

William: He calls it “jean jammin,” but yeah.

Examples of that are, I think that if you knowingly manipulate a woman to have feelings for you and kiss her and tell her things and promise her things and then when she kind of figures out that’s not really the case and is really upset about it, I think for – on national television – for you to call her a shrew of a bitch and Hurricane Melissa and all those things, I think a good guy doesn’t do that. I think a good guy would not do that.

And then none of this really aired, well none of it aired at all, but Blake actually kind of made a deal with me, came to me after he won the kissing contest and said “Hey, look I kind of realize where Melissa and I are at in the alliance, we’re kind of on the outskirts. So I want to make a deal with you where I’ll take Holly on a date, purely for strategy reasons, I’ll give her the rose and keep her safe as long as you keep Melissa around.” And, again, just one step further with that, he was shaking my hand, he looked me in the eyes and said, like, “I know where you guys are at. I know that you guys are trying to get back together, that she’s your ex-fianc?e, I totally get it. It’s just purely strategy. I’m going to be totally respectful and not do anything.” And then even when he came up to Holly in the mixer to take her on the date, he shook my hand again and said “Look, you have nothing to worry about, man, I’m going to be respectful.” And then came back, you know, and kissed her. And then tried to tell Kasey and Vienna that the whole thing was my idea. So, again, I just don’t think a good guy does that. You don’t shake another man’s hand, telling him you’re going to do something, then not do it” (WetPaint.com, 2011).

Cole Real Estate Investments (Cole), one of the nations leading investors in high-quality, income-producing retail, office and industrial real estate assets, announced it successfully completed approximately $ 2.5 billion of real estate-related acquisitions in 2011. After acquiring more than $ 5 billion of core real estate the past two years, the firm finished the year with nearly $ 10 billion of total real estate assets under management.

Based on its strategy of acquiring real estate assets that are subject to long-term net leases with creditworthy tenants, Cole added approximately $ 1.8 billion of single-tenant commercial assets, including $ 1.1 billion of single-tenant retail properties and $ 744 million of single-tenant office and industrial assets, as well as $ 611 million of multi-tenant retail assets and $ 109.4 million of commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS), in 2011. Overall, these acquisitions included 283 total properties, more than 15.8 million square feet of commercial real estate, and nine CMBS bonds.

Throughout the year, we saw high-quality assets come to market that fit our conservative investment strategy, said Thomas W. Roberts, executive vice president and head of real estate investments at Cole. We attribute our success in acquiring $ 5 billion of core real estate over the past two years to our world-class acquisitions team, top-quality legal and underwriting procedures, extensive relationships across the commercial real estate brokerage community, and ability to close all-cash deals.

Single-tenant retail acquisitions continued to be a primary focus for the firm. Noteworthy single-tenant retail acquisitions included a portfolio of 11 PetSmart stores in seven states for $ 74 million; 28 Walgreens in 17 states for $ 129.7 million; a Walmart Supercenter and Sams Club in Douglasville, GA, for $ 32.8 million; and a Whole Foods and Sierra Trading Post in Reno, NV, for $ 18.3 million. Other well-known retailers added to Coles single-tenant portfolio included Kohls, BJs Wholesale, Lowes, CVS, Best Buy, hhgregg, LA Fitness, Office Depot, California Pizza Kitchen, Advanced Auto and Hobby Lobby. Of the $ 1.1 billion of single-tenant retail assets acquired, approximately $ 387 million occurred via sale-leasebacks.

This is the view to the east from just east of the Bell Pass Saddle. Got here for lunch just in time to watch the Fountain in Fountain Hills. The Superstition Mountains are in the distance. Not many people get an opportunity to see the Fountain from here. The McDowell Sonoran Preserve is a collaboration between the McDowell Sonoran Conservancy and the City of Scottsdale to preserve the McDowell Mountains as undeveloped mcdowellsonoran.org/

The Fountain
"The eponymous fountain was built in 1971 by Robert P. McCulloch, the same year that reconstruction of the London Bridge in Lake Havasu City, another of McCulloch’s projects, was completed.The fountain sprays water about every hour. The plume of water rises from a concrete water-lily sculpture in the center of a large man-made lake and is driven by three 600 horsepower (450 kW) pumps. When all three pumps are on under zero wind condition, the fountain can reach over 560 feet (170 m) in height. When built, it was the world’s tallest fountain and held that record for over a decade."
